Snowdon - 17 May 2008
Last weekend saw 450 people climb Mount Snowdon in Wales, the highest
Mountain in England and Wales. 11 of these people were CSSC Members.
Our group set off at 10am on Saturday 17th May to climb the mountain.
The walk started off nice and gently winding round the picturesque lake
and rolling hills.
As soon as we had been lulled into a false sense of
security that this walk was going to be a piece of cake, we turned a
corner to be confronted with a BIG rocky incline, which seemed to be
endless.
After an hour or so of hard graft and much puffing and
panting, we ascended into cloud, reaching the 3560 ft summit.
A more leisurely trip was taken to the bottom and a nice cold beer
enjoyed after the event to celebrate our achievement.
Well done to everyone that took part.
