Bowls news - August 2003
During August, the London Bowls Club
organised the London CSSC Bowling Championships. The winners were:
- Singles - Des Hunter (PO)
- Pairs - Nick Skidmore (Customs), Paul Cater
(BT)
- Triples - Colin Popple (ex BT), Peter Harwood (ex Met Pol)
and David Miller (ACAS)
- Fours - Colin Kiddy (ex DETR), Peter Harwood, David Miller
and Albert Carter (ex BT)
Congratulations to the London Pairs Champions
- Nick Skidmore and Paul Cater - who went on to win the English
National
Pairs Championships at Leamington
Spa on 27 August, winning
four rounds and the final against Carlisle Area Club. Paul Cater
was having a busy bowls week, having
also come 3rd in an Isle of Wight Open Tournament and playing
in the All England (English
Bowling Association) Championships Singles Finals at Worthing.
