LONDON INDOOR BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009
 The group photograph shows the 20 competitors who participated in the 3rd London CSSC Indoor Pairs Bowling Championships held at Croydon Indoor Bowling Club on Wednesday 25 February 2009.
The winner qualifies to represent London CSSC in the National Regional Indoor Bowling Championships at Nottingham IBC on 21/22 April 2009.
The London Championships comprised 10 pairs teams competing in a round-robin tournament in 2 sections of 5 teams each. Each team played 4 games of 1 hour duration. Needless to say, many of the games were close and exciting, and so gruelling after 4 hours that the winners of each section agreed to play the final on another day!
The Final of the London Indoor Pairs Championships was won on Monday 16 March by John Wake (ex Home Office) and John Farrell (Royal Mail), who beat Colin Mitchell (ex Home Office) and Chris Davis (ex Met Police). They will join the ‘London Fours Champions - Tony Lea (MOD), Ian Streames (Royal Male), Nick Skidmore (HMRC) and Paul Cater (BT) - who will represent London Region in the CSSC National Regional Championships to be held at Nottingham IBC and Erewash, Long Eaton on 21/22 April.
