Overall report and results

Highlight photos - a quick pictorial overview

In-depth reports and photos of each event

We've brought back so many pictures that we've broken them up into a number of sections for ease of access. (Apologies to anyone who doesn't have "office" or broadband Internet access - it's inevitable that pictures take a while to load!)

Overview

CSSC London's Barbados Challenge team has just returned from our trip to Barbados, to take on the Barbados Civil Service and other local teams. In total, some 90 CSSC competitors travelled, taking part in a variety of events between Sunday and Wednesday (31 October to 3 November).

Final results are below. Overall, we're delighted to be able report that CSSC London has won the event, 185 points to 125 points. Most events were very finely balanced until the end, and we've been delighted at the hospitality and sporting attitude of our hosts!

Acknowledgements and thanks

We are grateful for the help and support we received - from Team Travel, from the Barbados Tourism Authority (hosts of Saturday evening's reception) and the managers and staff of the various sports clubs and facilities we used, from Virgin Atlantic (with whom we flew and who hosted Thursday's beach party), and from the "Gems of Barbados" hotel group (we stayed at the "Time Out at the Gap" and "Blue Horizon" hotels). See in particular:
