Report

CSSC London, represented by “Mario’s Fan-Tash-Tics”, started the game under pressure following both the need to gain trophy points and the earlier success of the ladies team. However, they responded magnificently with a resounding 6-1 win including a Chris Taylor hat-trick.

CSSC London began strongly, with Paul Miller coming close with two low drives, and Chris Taylor forced a fine save from the keeper. Yet another good save by the Barbados keeper resulted in a corner from which London were awarded a penalty, scored by Chris Taylor. However CSSC London were shocked when Barbados equalised almost immediately from a penalty by Frank Holder. A truly fan-tas-tic free kick from long range by John Waterman restored the lead, and London never looked back. Another penalty from Paul Miller and a goal by Chris Irwin, following a sweeping move, gave London a 4-1 half time lead.

Early second half pressure from Barbados was quelled when Chris Taylor extended the lead with yet another penalty, and then completed an excellent performance by scoring with a low first time shot which the keeper failed to hold.

Results

CSSC London won by 6 goals to one.
