The evening reception was sponsored by the Barbados Tourism Authority
and hosted at the Rockley Park Golf Club. Welcoming speeches were
made by Steve Edwards (Manager of Sports Tourism at the Barbados Tourism Authority) and by Roy Alder (Chairman, CSSC London). We
were delighted that Sir Garfield Sobers (international cricket
celebrity, regarded
as the world's greatest all-rounder, and national hero of Barbados)
joined us during the evening
- and as you might expect, a large number of people were keen to
meet him and have their photo taken!
