Indoor
Sports Competition - 18 October 2003
A vast array of new faces & some regular participants turned
out to take
part in our first Indoor Sports Day incorporating Pool pairs, Dominoes
pairs, Darts pairs, Cribbage pairs & the Dry Triathlon & linking
into
the Barbados Challenge.
To accompany the excellent atmosphere created by the close proximity
of
those taking part was Wayne with his steel band & Ray providing
the
disco. In addition Zest for Food laid on free tea & coffee,
complemented
by pain au chocolat and croissants on arrival.
All events were played in great spirit, and talking of spirits,
there were
complimentary shots of tequila for all participants, to celebrate
England's victory over South Africa in the Rugby World Cup.
The closest final was in the Pool pairs where the match went to
the
final frame, and despite intense pressure, Richard Haines & Matt
Wood from
the Government Actuaries Agency prevailed to win the trip of a
lifetime
to represent CSSC London in Barbados next year.
