How to join CSSC
CSSC membership is managed nationally by CSSC Head Office. For full information on the benefits of membership, please go to the national CSSC website and go to the "Join Now" page. We have repeated some key information here for the benefit of people in London.
Who is entitled to join?
Anyone who is an employee in a government department or agency, Royal Mail, BT, and other public bodies such as museums, research councils and companies carrying out ex-civil service work and past employees of these organisations who are retired on pension. In London, membership is also open to permanently employed Metropolitan Police Officers. If you're not sure whether you're eligible, contact us to find out.
How much does it cost?
Subscriptions via salary are £2.95 per month for 'Membership' and £5.90 per month for 'Membership Plus'. If you are paid weekly, it is 74p per week for 'Membership' and 148p per week for 'Membership Plus'. ('Membership Plus' is only required for those individuals who are interested in aviation or sailing.)
 How do I join?
Simply download and complete the application form and mail to us by post (we need your original signature on the form, so faxed or emailed copies can't be accepted).
Leaving the Civil Service?
If you are leaving the Civil Service you can still keep your membership. Contact us for details.
Leaving CSSC Sports & Leisure?
Should you decide to leave CSSC, please call us to arrange termination of your membership.
