CSSC London honours

The New Year usually brings with it a number of annual awards. We are delighted that two are particularly relevant to CSSC London:

1. Congratulations to Chris Knight, CSSC London's football organizer and referee-all-matches human dynamo, who received an MBE in the New Year Honours. Chris has also been awarded one of CSSC's own annual Merit Awards (for his work as an official, and secretary of the Sports Association at the Treasury).
2. CSSC London Vice Chairman, Ian Hughes, has been awarded one of CSSC's annual Merit Awards. Congratulations, Ian - very well deserved, recognising not only your long-standing contribution within CSSC, but also your specific input in CSSC London.

Chairman's Introduction

Please let me introduce myself. I'm Roy Alder, Chairman of CSSC London. Thank you for visiting our website.

Following a lengthy review and much consultation, considerable reorganisation has been taking place in London. Background documents are available below.

My many years of active connection with Civil Service Sport included playing football for the Department of Health (many years ago) and more recently the running of 10 marathons, and although I still keep fit, much of my more recent time has been given over to the administration of Sport within the Civil Service. I have served the Department for Health & Social Security Sports Association (HASSRA) as London Chairman for 10 years and then National Chairman for 5 years, and for the past 2 years I was President of CSSC London Region. I look forward to my role as Chairman of CSSC London and hope that, whether as an organiser or participant, you will support the CSSC London team in the various forthcoming events that are on offer.

CSSC London Management Board
