Tennis Open Day posterAs the summer season approaches, there’s no better time to brush off your tennis racket and get back on court. The Civil Service Lawn Tennis Club, Dukes Meadow, Chiswick, is open for all civil servants (and a range of other organisations such as museums, Met Police etc) to join. Members have pleasure in inviting you to an Open Day at the club on Saturday 17th May from 1pm . You will be able to look around the excellent facilities at the Civil Service Sports Ground which include 17 grass courts, 4 hard courts plus 2 shale courts, bar, restaurant, changing rooms; plus join in the free group coaching that afternoon – so don’t forget your racket!

Membership costs just £148 for the whole year (less than £100 for the summer season, May to September) and new balls are provided. Throughout the year there are many different events to be involved in including competitive matches as part of the Middlesex League and Cup competitions, club tournaments, social events, plus free weekly group coaching over the summer months.

TennisIf you would like to meet new people and improve your game on excellent courts in pleasant surroundings, come and join us at the Civil Service Lawn Tennis Club. The Club is located at the Civil Service Sports Club’s (CSSC) Ground, Duke’s Meadows, Riverside Drive, Chiswick in London (5 mins drive from Hogarth roundabout, 5 mins walk from Barnes Bridge BR Station). All standards are welcome.

The Club is easily reached by car or by train and offers six superb grass courts from May until September, together with 4 floodlit hard courts all year round. In terms of cost, the Club cannot be beaten. The annual subscription is currently £138 (there is a summer only membership rate of £90 too). Lower rates are available for some groups eg children.

TennisThere are plenty of opportunities to play competitively. Club teams play in the Middlesex Leagues and the Middlesex Cup. Within the Club, there are annual summer and winter tournaments and a competitive singles ladder, which is open to all members. There are also friendly social tournaments, a twice weekly club night for ‘mixing in’, and free group coaching sessions on a Saturday afternoon throughout the summer.
