Ladies football leagueRugby - CSSC Barbarians RUFC

The CSSC Barbarians RUFC are looking for new players, experienced and inexperienced. We play out of the CSSC Sports Ground in Chiswick. We are the Civil Service's leading club in providing modern rugby with an unsuspected social flavour. No matter what your skill level, whether you're tall or short, thin or wide, we?ve got a place for you.

Come and join our family and you'll never leave! We are a small but ambitious club and the Barbarians are proud of rugby's touring heritage and plan to uphold the tradition every year with tours to Europe at the end of season. In addition to all that we plan to hold regular social events.

Softball

Softball is a fun, fast moving and straightforward game which is essentially a cross between baseball and rounders. Our team is mixed and open to players of all abilities (and we do mean all abilities!). We are one of 18 teams competing in our League - we've had pretty good results in past years and are looking to build on that success this season.

Practices are held in Green Park every Wednesday evening; League matches are held on Monday evenings in either Regents Park or Primrose Hill. There is also an end-of-season tournament held in late Summer which we have the opportunity to take part in.

If you are interested in taking up a fun, fast moving and competitive sport - with a strong social element! - please email Amy on amy.clements@defra.gsi.gov.uk.

Volleyball club posterVolleyball sessions

A weekly mixed volleyball session, incorporating both coaching and games, is held on Thursday evenings between 5pm and 7pm at Whitechapel Sports Centre, Durward St, E1, just behind Whitechapel tube station.

The sessions are open to all members of the CSSC, and we aim to cater for everyone. Current attendees have a range of skill levels, from beginners upwards include those recently out of college to those who have passed retirement age, and come from a number of different Departments. It costs £4 per session, but the first one is free, so you can find out whether you like it or not. If you would like to attend, please contact:
